Visual interest is all around us

These days, we are washing our hands a little more than usual in an attempt to ward off germs from the dreaded Swine Flu virus. One of my students, Johanny, suggested that we remove the pump from the hand sanitizer I keep in my classroom and photograph the view looking into the bottle. Great idea, Johanny! That's the the kind of creativitity that leads to compelling photographs. Click here to check out this great article from Digital Photography School that talks about 12 ways to add randomness and creativity to your photography.

  3. I really like this picture because i at first when i look at at sanitizer it just looks like normal bubble but in the picture you got a top view of it and it seems as if the bubbles have some kind of a ripple affect or like if it a photo of bacteria.

  5. I love how you can't really tell that its hand sanitizer unless you know that it is. I also really like the color of the sanitizer itself because its a lot richer then the color actually is in real life.

  15. This picture of the hand sanitizer looks interesting. You can see the texture of the gel of the hand sanitizer. It is nice to see that the top of the bottle is not in focus but when you look through the bottle it is focused.

  17. I really enjoy watching this picture. The gel inside looks squirmy & awkward but in an interesting way. Looking at the gel makes you think of different posibilities the gel can be.
